walkSTEM Video Collection

The talkSTEM team has produced over 150 short, place-based videos comprising 15 walkSTEM tours in and around Dallas. This constitutes the walkSTEM Academy category of our video collection on the talkSTEM YouTube channel, an open-access, commercial-free, online platform. You can meet talkSTEM team member, Dr Glen, Whitney, founder of the National Museum of Mathematics, in New York, the only math museum in the country, in many of these videos. Dr Whitney and Dr Dhingra, founder and CEO of talkSTEM, collaborated to develop the STEM walking tour concept. Several of our walkSTEM tours includes downloadable, standards-aligned educator guides and student worksheets to aid in student inquiry and active learning. Video playlist descriptions include standards alignments and links to educator guides and student worksheets that are freely downloadable. Further, we are excited about our growing community that shares the videos they created using our Create Your Own walkSTEM, methods. These videos are also available on our YouTube channel.

Two other video categories in our YouTube channel that relate to the walkSTEM initiative are:

STEM in the Real World: walkSTEM Stops organized by Theme
Create Your Own walkSTEM: Go on a virtual walkSTEM tour created by our growing community

Every child is a STEM child, Every space is a STEM space

talkSTEM works hard to make unique and high quality STE(A)M educational content freely available to all children. We partner with such youth-serving organizations as Dallas ISD, Girls Inc, Imagine Science, and more. Every dollar you contribute goes directly to our educational programming and content creation that reaches under-resourced student populations. Please support us.
