DISD_JChristianJenny Christian is Director of Science in the Dallas Independent School District.  Dallas ISD comprises 384 square miles and encompasses 16 cities, including Dallas.  The district is the second-largest public school district in the state, and the 14th-largest district in the nation. The school district serves approximately 160,000 students in pre-kindergarten through the 12th grade, in 227 schools, employing nearly 20,000 dedicated professionals.  I had the chance to speak with her at the talkSTEM event at the Dallas Contemporary in January. The event was called An Evening Honoring Women in STEAM.  Watch the video to hear her reaction to the artwork we viewed that evening as well as her perspectives on learning and teaching science.
