About Dr Hill:

Dr. Joan Buchanan Hill is Head of School at Lamplighter in Dallas, TX. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, Board Member of ISAS (Independent School Association of the Southwest), member of the Greenhill School Board of Trustees, member of the Board of Directors of the Dallas Arboretum, member of the Austin College Advisory Council, and member of the Advisory Board for the Center for Children and Families at the University of Texas at Dallas.
Prior to her position at Lamplighter, Dr. Hill served 12 years as Lower School Head at Columbus School for Girls in Columbus, Ohio. Additionally, she taught in the Lower School at both Hawken School and University School – located in the Cleveland, Ohio area. She holds a doctorate in Education with an emphasis on Organizational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, a Masters’ degree in Educational Leadership from John Carroll University, and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communications with minors in management and marketing from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Prior to entering the field of education she worked for nine years in marketing and sales at Ohio Bell. Dr. Hill and her husband have two adult children and one grandchild.

Koshi Dhingra

Dr. Koshi Dhingra has dedicated her career to STEM education and is passionate about having every child live up to their potential. Seeing a lack of girls and other underrepresented youth in STEM programs, she founded talkSTEM in 2015 to address the imbalance. She has a doctorate in science education from Teachers College, Columbia University, has years of experience teaching in graduate and undergraduate programs, and has held leadership roles in universities. She advises and collaborates with a broad range of educational institutions globally. Dr. Dhingra began her career teaching science in middle and high school in New York. She lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband, three children, and two dogs.
