We are thrilled to announce that we are kicking off a series of quick, concentrated 15-minute video podcasts called Lunchtime Livestream. Our three speakers in April will discuss their work, centered around our theme for the month, Earth Month. Visit our Her STEMlens virtual exhibition series: Earth Month Edition to view more food for thought. The final exhibition in the series will be in May, and our theme then is Mental Health and Wellbeing.

Our first podcast will air tomorrow, April 14 at 12:00pm CST. Our guest speaker will be Betsy del Monte, Architect and Consultant at Cameron Macallister and Adjunct Professor at the SMU Lyle School of Engineering. It will be live-streamed on Facebook, our handle is @talkSTEM.

The schedule for remaining podcasts (ending 5/14) is:

Thursday, April 22 at 12:00 pm CST with Lynn McBee Board Chair of Earth X and CEO of Young Women’s Preparatory Network;

Thursday, April 29 at 12:00pm CST with Dr. Madhur Anand, Professor of Ecology and Sustainability at the The University of Guelph, Author, and Poet;

Thursday, May 7, TBD;

Thursday May 14 at 12:00pm CST with Sabari Raja, CEO of Nepris.

We hope you can join for lunch as we learn along with these incredible guests! If you can’t make it, we will share the videos on our YouTube channel. We hope that you and your students will enjoy these conversations.
