Thank you for your interest in our walkSTEM® Junior Docent Program.
At talkSTEM, we provide both live walking tours and community events. For the walkSTEM® live walking tours, we train docents to help guide the learning experience for the participants – similar to docents you see in art galleries in museums. We train high school students to become walkSTEM® Junior Docents so that you may assist talkSTEM Docents facilitate the experience. Junior Docents also help with community events, including the Dallas ISD STEM Expo and Pi Day Math Festival. The walkSTEM Junior Docent Program is open to high school students. As a walk STEM® Junior Docent, you will have the opportunity to introduce STEM concepts to kids of all ages in a relevant and accessible way. Please complete the following application. Participation in 5 hours of walkSTEM activities annually is mandatory. A teacher recommendation is also required.
