Create Your Own walkSTEM® — Girls walkSTEM® Club
Empower young women to grow their STEM mindsets! For all-girl settings, this is a great activity for girls of all ages from elementary school and up. Through this experience, they can see themselves as STEM explorers in their own campuses, neighborhoods, or favorite places.
The vision of the walkSTEM® initiative is a world where every place is a STEM place, and every child is a STEM child. Volunteers, teachers, parents, or mentors can guide a student group as they identify a real-world space (park, campus, mall, community space- anywhere!) to create a unique walkSTEM® experience.
By taking ownership of the creative process, girls will grow their STEM mindsets and become confident in their ability to pursue relevant interests in school and beyond. Read on to learn how to get started.
